WHITNEY BIENNIAL ANNOUNCES 2012 ARTISTS / TATE TRIENNIAL 2012 CANCELED
The Whitney Museum of American Art has announced the participating artists for their 2012 Biennial. Fifty-one artists have been selected for the 76th edition, which is co-curated by Elisabeth Sussman and Jay Sanders and set to open March 1, 2012.
ART: SCULPTURE Wim Delvoye
The milieu of acclaimed and controversial Belgian artist Wim Delvoye includes performance art, scatological machinery, tattooed pigs, sculpture (and sculptire), and intricately carved representational object. He often creates oversized laser-cut steel sculptures of objects typically found in construction, and customizes them in ornate seventeenth century Flemish Baroque style.
